A: Regarding Zamst's knee supporter, it is basically intended to be worn on bare skin. You can wear it over tights, but depending on the material of the tights, the supporters may shift. If you do so, you may not be able to get the desired effect, so please try it beforehand if possible.
Q: Is it suitable for preventing knee injuries while snowboarding? (Women in their 20s, snowboarding)
A: If you have never been injured and would like to wear a supporter as a preventative measure, we recommend the ZK-3, which holds the entire knee and prevents it from wobbling laterally. The ZK series is recommended because winter sports often damage the knee band.
Q: About six months ago, I developed iliotibial banditis. What is the best way to prevent recurrence? (30s, male, marathon)
A. The main cause of iliotibial banditis itself is overuse (running too much), so it is necessary to limit stressful movements to prevent recurrence. We recommend the RK-1, which has a strap that prevents the lower part of the knee from twisting inward. Supports reduce the strain on the knee, but they do not solve the root cause. Iliotibial banditis is caused by various factors such as the road surface you run on, shoe form, and balance from the ankle to the hip joint, so you need to be careful about taking care of your body, such as reviewing these points, stretching before and after exercise, and icing after exercise. I think that's a good thing.
